
"From Stable to Schoolhouse: 19th Century Foundations of California Education" is a traveling exhibit of reproductions produced by the Wilson Riles Archives and Institute for Education. With panels interpreting California's earliest public schools and teachers, schools for minority children, kindergartens, teachers and school administration, this exhibit examines the roots of California's educational system.
Available for loan, "From Stable to Schoolhouse," weighing 95 pounds, is comprised of 4 panels, each 82 1/2" x 29 1/2." An accompanying brochure, available on request for a small donation, further describes exhibit topics. Borrowers are financially responsible for shipping, and for damage incurred to the exhibit while on loan.
